Thinking About Parenting?

It’s natural to have questions and fears as you consider parenting.

You may be wondering:

  • Will I have support from family or my partner?

  • How will this affect school or work?

  • Can I provide for my child?

  • What help is available to me?

You don’t have to answer these questions alone. Our team is here to talk through your situation and connect you with resources that can help you move forward with confidence.

Fatherhood Program

Few things can more positively shape the lives of a child and expectant mother than a father who is equipped, engaged, and present. We understand this season can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to support and encourage you every step of the way.
Our Fatherhood Program offers mentoring and practical guidance designed specifically for men who want to grow in confidence as fathers and partners.

Fathers can receive:

  • one-on-one coaching

  • parenting education

  • relationship support

  • encouragement for their role in the family

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Childbirth Education

Alpha Center offers an in-person childbirth education course using the evidence-based Plumtree Baby curriculum. This course is taught by Lindsey Snyder, Ministry Director and Certified Birth Doula, and is designed to help you feel informed, confident, and prepared for your baby’s arrival.

The course is offered over 2–3 sessions (approximately 6–8 total hours) in a supportive, workshop-style setting where you can ask questions and learn at your own pace.

Topics include:

  • the stages of labor

  • common interventions and variations

  • comfort strategies for body and mind

  • what to expect after birth

  • newborn care basics

Our goal is to help you feel more prepared and supported as you approach your delivery experience. Childbirth doesn’t have to feel confusing or intimidating. With the right preparation, you can move forward with greater confidence.

Important note:
This class is intended for educational purposes and does not replace guidance from your medical provider.

Birth Advocate Support

No one should have to walk through childbirth alone.

If you are an Alpha Center client, additional in-person birth support from one of our trained birth advocates may be available to you. Our advocates provide encouragement and hands-on comfort support as you prepare for and welcome your baby.

They are trained in comfort measures and supportive techniques designed to help you feel more confident and supported during labor.

We also encourage clients to participate in our Childbirth Education Course, where you can learn what to expect during labor and delivery and prepare for your baby’s arrival with knowledge and support.

Our goal is simple: to make sure you feel supported, informed, and cared for every step of the way.

Breastfeeding Support and Education

Breastfeeding is a natural choice for many families—but it doesn’t always feel natural at first. If you’re planning to breastfeed or already getting started and have questions, support is available.

Our certified breastfeeding counselor offers one-on-one guidance to help you feel more confident as you learn what works best for you and your baby.

Support may include:

  • preparing to breastfeed before your baby arrives

  • help with latch and positioning

  • guidance if feeding feels difficult or uncomfortable

  • support with milk supply concerns

  • assistance with pumping and finding the correct flange size

Whether you’re just getting started or need help along the way, we’re here to walk alongside you.
